From creams to the table
Tenuta Pra De Oro breeds snails intended for gastronomic use. Our snails of the Helix Aspersa Muller, Muller Maxima and Helix Aperta species are bred according a complete organic cycle, which means without the use of industrial feedstuff or products.
Tasty creatures
Our snails are a gastronomic product par excellence and can be cooked in various ways. This is the Helix Aspersa Muller, minima the smaller one and maxima the larger one, weighing between 8 and 20 grammes and with a beautiful dark brown streak. Helix Aperta measures between 22 and 26 mm and is classified under the smaller size of the Helix genus. It is characterised by its cream white operculum.
